Second quality items have slight flaws and imperfections but are still functional.
-the willoughby cherry bowl (seconds) is handsome
and the graining brings the shape to life. The very subtle“imperfections” give the bowl an animated quality. Thank you for all your efforts.
Absolutely beautiful bowl!!
Beautiful quality bowl. It’s a “second” but I sure don’t see any flaws.
I bought a second in the walnut finish. I collect 18th and 19th century antique treenware, and this Willoughby bowl is the closest I have seen in workmanship and form to vintage examples. Period antique bowls are not necessarily something one would like to toss a salad with dressing in, given their age, porosity, and "odors." The Willoughby lets me dress and serve a salad, or fill it with green apples for an instant centerpiece, with a look nearly indistinguishable from a centuries old antique.
I love my bowl - it's simply gorgeous. Saw the bowls at the Simon Pearce store nearly 2 years ago and kept thinking about the Andrew Pierce bowls. I finally ordered one 6 months ago. I'm thrilled with the bowl. I highly recommend purchasing. Don't wait the nearly 2 years before getting an Andrew Pierce piece.
