Just because these unfinished bowls didn't make the cut for our meticulous woodworkers, doesn't mean they are not beautiful and useful in their own right. These kiln-dried bowls have been sanded and stamped with the Andrew Pearce logo on the bottom. Rough bowls make fabulous garden displays and are best used for spring bulbs, flowering annuals, succulents, or house plants. Dress up your porch, deck, or entryway with a rough bowl floral display.

Rough Bowl Tips:

  • If needed, drill 2-3 holes for draining when used as a planter.
  • Water plants in these planters often if they live outdoors.
  • Expect cracking and weathering if rough bowls are kept outdoors in the elements 24/7.
  • These are 100% biodegradable. You can recycle them, when the time comes, by simply placing them in your backyard or burn pit.

*Sales of Rough Bowls are final. No exchanges, returns, or refunds.

*We do not recommend you attempt to turn these bowls on a lathe at home, due to minor cracks or knots.

Rough bowl

Love my rough bowl. Reminds me of the wonderful trip to Vermont and beautiful artistry of the Pierce family

10" walnut

This rough blank finished down to a very pleasing shape, very thin walled. I usually use California Claro Walnut, but this piece of Eastern Black Walnut has a different feel.

Rustic look is perfect for a wild garden!

I bought 3 of the rough bowls in two sizes, put them on pedestals in my wild garden and planted herbs and trailing ivy in them. I love the rough edges and natural color amid the cool greens and vibrant wild flowers!
