Andrew Pearce Bowls Retail Store Manager
Andrew Pearce Bowls is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager. The Retail Store Manager will implement and manage all retail store operations, including but not limited to customer service, transaction management, inventory management, and personnel management. The responsibilities detailed below will be conducted under the supervision of and in close collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director, and may be delegated as appropriate.

Compensation: starting at $25 - $30/hour, contingent on experience

Responsibilities
Retail Store Operations:

Open and close the store on a daily basis, in coordination with Retail Associate(s)

Ensure the store is clean, presentable, safe, and welcoming to customers

Develop, maintain, and adapt store merchandising

Manage retail operational costs to maximize profitability
-
Actively gather and share feedback to continuously improve the performance of the retail store

Assist with marketing activities
Customer Service:
-
Ensure the best possible experience for all customers interacting with the retail store
-
To the greatest extent possible, make it easy and enjoyable for customers to interact with and buy our products

Assist customers interacting with the Andrew Pearce Bowls website
-
Monitor and respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and voicemail
-
Resolve customer concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, in consultation with Sales and Marketing Director as appropriate
Retail Transactions:
-
Conduct sales, exchanges and refund transactions
-
Manage cash drawer: maintain appropriate change, ensure proper security of cash, and notify supervisor of changes in cash balance

Monitor online retail orders and prepare orders for shipping in close collaboration with the Shipping Department
Inventory and supply:
-
Ensure store has appropriate inventory of retail products, contribute to inventory monitoring and planning, and coordinate with Sales and Marketing Director and Production Manager to resolve inventory challenges

Ensure appropriate inventory of supplies required for retail operations, including but not limited to packaging materials, cleaning supplies, informational materials, and merchandising materials

Keep inventory products in appropriate condition, and coordinate repairs or changes with the Product Manager

Manage the retail inventory and supply room, including but not limited to storage, cleanliness, and equipment

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Director and Production Manager to ensure new and existing products are accurately reflected in inventory management systems
Employee Supervision and Collaboration:

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, among both sales and production and shipping personnel

Delegate tasks to other personnel as appropriate

Maintain a high degree of professional responsibility

Maintain appropriate retail staffing in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director, including hiring, retaining, and reassigning retail personnel

Manage retail personnel, including but not limited to all aspects of performance management and professional development

Develop and maintain staffing schedule for retail store
Requirements:
-
At least 3 years retail experience or related customer-focused field
-
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
-
Professional and welcoming demeanor with colleagues and customers
-
Weekend availability
-
Physical requirements: ability to move products throughout the store and product facility, ability to move throughout the store and production facility for up to 8 hours at a time

Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage time effectively

Experience with Shopify Pro a definite plus
