Custom engraving and monograms

Monograms & Monogram Style Engraving:

Please keep in mind that Monograms, by their very nature and tradition, are used only to engrave 3 initials. Monograms feature the Last Name initial as a centered larger letter, with the First Name initial on the left and the Middle Name initial on the right, both smaller than the centered Last Name initial. Monograms are not gender specific and may be used to engrave for an individual or a couple:     

  • Individual monograms appear as First Name initial, Last Name initial and Middle Name initial, in that order. As an example, if the full three names were Justin Charles Morgan, the monogram would appear in the order of initials as JMC, with the center/Last Name initial M larger in the center.
  • Marital or Couples' monograms, in which you provide the bride's or wife's First Name initial in the First Name initial field, provide the groom's or husband's First Name initial in the Middle Name initial field and the couple's Last Name initial in the Last Name initial field. This will create a traditional couple's married monogram. As an example, if the couple's names are Jane and Mike Doe, their monogram would be JDM. It is traditional for the bride's or wife's First Name initial to be placed first in the monogram.

Engraving Initials:

If you would rather have 1, 2, 3 or 4 initials straight across, the monogram rule doesn't apply. In this case, you would enter the person's initials just as they correspond with the name. You may choose the specific Styles of 1, 2, 3 or you may choose the more generic 1 Line or 2 Lines Style formats.

Full Name Engraving:

When engraving a full name (or any other text), specify whether you want the name to be in all upper-case (capital) or in title case (upper- and lower-case) letters.  

Logo/Unique Artwork Engravings:

We do engrave logos!  We are happy to assist you with your company logo or special artwork for engraving!

We will need a suitable original file of your logo. We recommend providing an EPS version of your (vector) file if possible or next best is a high-resolution TIFF or JPG version if the file is not vector-based.

The quality of your logo or artwork engraving, on the item you choose, will be directly related to the artwork provided for conversion. It's best to provide a file with the highest quality digital artwork possible. The higher the quality of the digital artwork, the easier it is to convert the file to an engravable file, which cuts down considerably on the cost of the logo engravable file setup fees. Logos requiring cleaning up or alterations may be subject to additional charges.

You may email your logo or artwork file to engraving@andrewpearcebowls.com for an estimate of your logo setup before you place your order.

We will engrave the text for your item exactly as you type it on the engraving form, so please keep the considerations and suggestions provided above in mind when placing your engraving order online, and please check your text before completing your order.

Returns

Engraved Items:

Please use care when ordering and call us at 802-735-1884 if you have any questions about engraving or about any of the items on our web site.  All engraved items are considered "special order" and are non-returnable. If your item is damaged in shipping or found to be defective, please call us at 802-735-1884 or email engraving@andrewpearcebowls.com  within 14 days of receipt of your order to request a Return Merchandise Authorization. We cannot accept any returns without prior approval. Engraved items cannot be returned unless damaged or defective. If you should need to return an engraved item for these reasons, we will exchange your damaged or defective special order item for a new one.

Engraving Errors:

Please double-check the spelling and other details of your engraving request before you submit your order. We are not responsible for spelling or engraving errors made by the customer. However, if our engravers make an error, we will have the error corrected and send a replacement item out to you as soon as possible. Please call us to for a Return Merchandise Authorization. We may also have UPS ship back the defective item free of charge.

Shipping:

Engraving turnaround times are up to 2 weeks depending on quantities and work involved.

For our retail store engraving service, a 24 hour express turnaround is possible but incurs a 40% surcharge. Express service is available only by prior consultation before placing your order. Due to fluctuating work loads this service may not always available; so please check in advance.
