Administrative & Sales Assistant, Andrew Pearce Bowls
  • Full-time position: Average 40 hours per week, depending on business needs

  • Location: 59 US Route 4 East, Woodstock, Vermont 05091

  • Reports to: Andrew Pearce, Founder & CEO

General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support for the administrative and sales functions of the company in a flexible manner, working where necessary to accomplish required tasks in a timely, quality manner

  • Oversee and place orders for raw materials and workshop and office supplies

  • Provide established distributors with necessary marketing, promotion and pricing information, and respond to most customer requests and inquiries received through the Andrew Pearce website or through other means

  • Resolve order and inventory issues by investigating data and history, identifying alternate means for filling orders when required, and by appropriately notifying sales reps and customers

  • Process orders when received, referring to price lists and product literature, as necessary

  • Address and resolve customer and/or sales rep issues that may include investigating problems, developing solutions, taking corrective action, and making recommendations for administrative/sales process improvements

  • Support, adjust and update content of the Andrew Pearce website, plus the wholesale/retail pricing catalogue & spreadsheets, as needed

  • Update Andrew Pearce social media platforms for the brand, currently including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and You Tube, to help drive traffic and sales to the website

  • Work closely with Andrew Pearce media partners to enhance and drive the Andrew Pearce brand

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, plus a minimum of 5-years of experience in administration and sales in a manufacturing environment is desired or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills has been acquired

  • Must be a proven and organized administrator who is a self-starter, detail oriented, meets deadlines and is able to multi-task

  • Must have a proven ability to professionally and effectively communicate orally and in writing

  • Must possess strong math and computer skills, plus a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and use of social media

  • Must possess proven customer service skills, plus enjoy selling to and servicing existing and new customers

  • Must be able to be flexible while driving projects to on-time completion

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a busy, high performance team

  • Must be able to help protect operations by keeping appropriate information confidential
